is Citrix Supported with Maximo?

This forum is for all things Maximo 5.x... since IBM isn't really supporting it anymore we've titled it "support".

is Citrix Supported with Maximo?

Postby Will.Hampton » Wed Oct 14, 2009 1:48 pm

Yes - The normal reason for using Citrix is for speed in locations where the application is very slow due to the available network bandwidth - (dial up, slower leased lines etc…)

However another possibility is using Citrix to allow you to deploy IE8 to all the machines in your system and keeping IE6 or IE7 on the Citrix box – thus allowing you to remain current and at the same time supporting Maximo and the version of IE required to use it correctly…

Another technique for enhancing speed in the network utilizes hardware compression systems such as provided by Riverbed Technology's Steelhead appliance see:

Steelhead Appliance Models
Riverbed's Steelhead appliances provide the highest level of WAN performance across the broadest range of applications. Available in a wide range of sizes – all powered by the Riverbed Optimization System (RiOS) – Steelhead appliances are also the most scalable approach to application acceleration across your WAN.
